Stepping into a new school can be both thrilling and challenging, filled with a mix of anticipation and nerves.

At Castle School, trial days are offered as a warm welcome to prospective pupils, providing them with a unique opportunity to experience life as a student in this vibrant educational community.

Castle School recognises that transitioning to a new school can be a significant milestone for students and aims to make this process as smooth and enjoyable as possible. With this in mind, trial days are thoughtfully designed to provide prospective pupils with a taste of the school's rich educational environment and supportive community.

These trial days can occur at any time during the academic calendar, allowing students to choose a time that best suits their needs.

During their trial days, students are warmly welcomed into Castle School's close-knit community.

Inclusive Ethos

The school's experienced and dedicated staff ensure that prospective pupils feel supported and at ease from the moment they step onto the school grounds. Castle School takes pride in its inclusive ethos and fosters a sense of belonging among its students, ensuring that every child feels valued and supported.

One of the highlights of the trial days is the opportunity to form bonds with other pupils. Existing students are assigned as buddies to the prospective pupils, providing them with a friendly face and a helping hand throughout their time at the school. Buddies offer guidance, support, and companionship, helping the new students to quickly settle in and form meaningful connections within the Castle School community.

Transition days are also a key feature and provide another opportunity for trial days at Castle School. These dedicated days are designed to help prospective pupils familiarise themselves with the school's routines, traditions, and expectations.

From attending classes and participating in co-curricular activities to interacting with teachers and fellow students, transition days provide an authentic experience of Castle School life, helping students feel more confident and prepared for their future studies.

We also offer a comprehensive range of academic and pastoral support to all students, including those on trial days. The school's experienced teachers provide personalised guidance and mentoring, helping students to excel in their studies and achieve their full potential. The pastoral care team ensures that the emotional and social well-being of all students is a top priority, offering a supportive and nurturing environment where students can thrive.

Trial days at Castle School are a fantastic opportunity for prospective pupils to experience the unique and inclusive culture of this educational community. With a focus on providing comprehensive support and a warm welcome to new students, we ensure that trial days are an enriching and enjoyable experience that sets the stage for pupils to embark on a successful and fulfilling educational journey in their new school.
